What is an Adult Advisor?
An Adult Advisor is an adult who guides youth working on a religious award and helps them through the process.
What does an Adult Advisor do?
An Adult Advisor guides you to complete the tasks required for the award, checks work, and submits application to the GHACCYO.
Who can be an Adult Advisor?
Any adult can be an Adult Advisor if he/she is
  • a fully-initiated, practicing Catholic
  • Safe Haven trained
  • GHACCYO trained
  • registered as an Adult Advisor on the GHACCYO website (annually)
What are the prerequisites for being an Adult Advisor?
Adult Advisors must be registered as an adult on this site, have completed a Safe Haven training class in the last 5 years, and take a Adult Advisor Training Class.
How do I become an Adult Advisor?
Register as an adult on this site, update Safe Haven training (if taken more than 5 years ago), and sign up for a Adult Advisor Training Class.
How long are the training classes?
2.5 hours
How do I sign up for a training class?
Find a date that works for you and register online.
I was an Adult Advisor in the past, but haven't done it for a while. Can I pick up where I left off?
If you registered as an Adult Advisor last year, you may re-register this year and pick up where you left off. If you were not registered as an Adult Advisor last year, you will have to re-take a training class.
