Adult Advisor

NOTE: The Adult Advisor role in this program is much different than for the other programs. The Youth must work with a Program Coordinator for this award.
  • Register Youth by January 30th.
  • Encourage Youth as they complete the requirements.
  • Each Youth must complete his/her own project.
  • Submit award application.


Here are steps to complete this award. Note that Youth must work with a Program Coordinator to successfully meet the requirements of this award.
  1. Attend an Orientation Interview with a Program Coordinator prior to starting this program. Can be in person or remote.
  2. Complete written work and service project.
  3. In-person interview with Program Coordinator to complete the award. Youth have the responsibility of setting up an appointment for this meeting to complete the award requirements.

Highest Achievement

The Archbishop’s Gold was created to recognize girls who have earned both the highest NFCYM award (The Spirit Alive or Missio) and either the GSUSA Gold Award or the AHG Stars & Stripes Award.

Steps to earning the Archbishop's Gold include: 

  1. Earn the NFCYM The Spirit Alive or Missio medal program
  2. Earn the GSUSA Gold Award or the AHG Stars & Stripes Award (for other organizations, please consult with a program coordinator)
  3. Complete research papers on church teaching
  4. Service project

Upon completion, have your work reviewed by one of the program coordinators. All requirements must be completed by Book Review Day of the year in which you expect to receive the award.
