Archbishop's Gold

Highest Achievement

NOTE: The Mentor role in this program is much different than for the other programs. The Youth must work with a Program Coordinator for this award.

Notes for Youth

  • An orientation is required before beginning work on this award.
 Schedule an Orientation
  • Complete written work and project.
  • Meet with Program Coordinator for an exit interview once project and work are complete.

  • Register Youth before attending Orientation.
  • Encourage Youth as they complete the requirements.
  • Verify all requirements are met.
  • Ensure forms are properly filled out and signed.
  • Take completed work to the parish designate for signature.
  • Submit award applications and pay fees.

Highest Achievement

The Archbishop’s Gold was created to recognize youth who have earned both the highest religious award and the pinnacle award of their youth organization.

Steps to earning the Archbishop's Gold include: 

  1. Earn a highschool-level religious award through GHACCYO. Can be any one of
    • The Spirit Alive (NFCYM)
    • Missio Dei (NFCYM)
    • Woman of Integrity - Compass (AHG)
    • Woman of Integrity - Quiver (AHG)
  2. Earn the pinnacle award of your youth organization
    • GSUSA Gold Award
    • AHG Stars & Stripes Award
    • Other organizations - please consult with a Program Coordinator
  3. Complete written requirement for research on Vatican II church teaching
  4. Complete project

Upon completion, have your work reviewed by an Archbishop’s Gold Program Coordinator. All requirements must be completed by the ceremony deadline of the year in which you expect to receive the award.
